3D art is something that attracts people towards itself. Today 3D is used in everything like in televisions, print ads, movies, video games and many more. 3D models are made by manipulating polygon meshes and then molding them into characters, scenes and objects. 3D art is a very broad subject and for making a good 3D website it requires lot of skills and patience.

Before creating any web design with 3D art you should learn the types of 3D art. In 3D art, modeling is the most important part. Modeling is an act in which the artist mold the polygon meshes into the require objects, scenes and characters. It is the most important act in creating 3D and depends largely on the methods used.

Next is animation, in which 3D object is made movable. Different types of animation are there, the most important is key frame animation. In key frame animation, the object is manipulated on frame by frame basis like that of hand drawn cartoons. Other types of animation includes importing of motion capture data and then applying it in a character rig form, or placing the objects on the splines and then setting them to follow a curve path. Another way of doing animation is dropping the 3D objects when the scene is required.

Everything will appear in the form of variation of solid colors if some kind of texture art is not used.  So, another important thing in 3D is texturing. The accurate way of creating a texture for an object is by flattening the mesh and painting it using Photoshop.

The last and most important step is rendering the image. In rendering of object, attention to the camera placement, lightening choices that affects moods, shadows, reflections and transparency which helps to handle special affects in the websites, are very necessary.
