  There are different ways  of linking using which we can find a way to get indexed in different search engines and also we can increase the traffic of the site.
  Here are the mostly used three different ways of link exchange:

  2> Reciprocal Linking
  3> Three way Linking

  For link popularity building we can use any of the way but keep in mind that each type has its own importance. As per my analysis in this field I can say that, earlier reciprocal links was one of the best tools to get back links but in current scenario reciprocal links are not that important to a search engine. Now search engines have changed their strategies and they started giving more importance to one way linking. Here the point is, in one way linking, the site which has given a link to your site refers the site and content to their visitors which shows value to your site and search engines also approves that value and will give your site more importance. Reciprocal links also can increase the amount of back links.
  Now, third type is three way linking, which is a midway to both one way linking and reciprocal linking. Here you can find 3 sites for the same niche and circle out the links. For example, If you have site A,B,C.

  Give a link to site A from Site B. Then Site B will get link from Site C. Site C will get link from site A. Here we have done cross exchange but in different manner. Three way linking is difficult to build, because here you need to build a proper network with people who are having same kind of sites.

  So, the conclusion is, try to get more and more one way links for your site. And get nice page rank and traffic to your site.
