Network Security Attacks
Linux network security
In the today’s computer world, the field of networking security has become a big question where linux network security becomes a solution for this. With the usage of computers and internet in almost every field of work, securing your systems form any kind of attacks have also become important. Network security attacks are not something theoretical concept, which can be put aside and dealt with it later on; but it is important to solve it also.
Network security is a complicated part; in past it was only tackled by well-experienced experts. But now many people have understand the importance of security in networked world and there are many people to tackle this nowadays. There are many types of attacks taking place every day. Also talking about Denial of Service type attacks (DoS), which is currently ongoing against SCO have number of different forms and intention. Any system out in the wilds of internet is exposed to DoS attacks. Generally the intention of such Dos attack is to render your system out of action for the duration of time of the attack. The ultimate goal of any network security attack is to either deprive you of use of your system or more usually to give at least a part of control of your system to the cracker.
So for the solution network security is also available, such as network perimeter security. The objective of which is to provide management with an independent relating to usefulness of the network perimeter security and its alignment with IT security and policy and identify the issues which affect the security of the enterprise’s network. It presents:
- A comprehensive overview of security polices, which increases qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
- Analyzes the protocols and implementation of public key infrastructure.
- Exhibit how an intrusion detection system can be successfully incorporated with other network security tools.
- Discusses cryptography and virtual private networks(VPNs)
